Do we qualify for CLTS services?

Eligibility is determined by your county’s CLTS agency, not by MindRight.
The process typically involves:
- Completing an intake with your county
- Participating in a functional screen
- Submitting required documentation
If you’re unsure whether your child qualifies, that’s very common.

What is the CLTS Waiver?
The Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) Waiver Program is a Wisconsin program that helps children and youth with disabilities access long-term supports and services in their homes and communities. CLTS funding can be used for services such as Daily Living Skills, Safety Planning, Unpaid Caregiver Support, and other individualized supports that promote independence, safety, and quality of life. It is designed to fund long-term support services that are not typically covered by insurance.

Private Pay Services: What to Expect
When using Private Pay, families can expect:
- Clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees
- Flexible scheduling based on your family’s availability
- Services delivered in the home, community, or virtually
- Individualized goals based on your child and family’s needs
- Collaborative, relationship-based support
Private Pay services may include:
- Parent coaching and consultation
- Social skills and communication support
- Daily living and independence skills
- Behavior support and emotional regulation
- School or community consultation
Private Pay is often a great fit for families who:
- Are on a CLTS waitlist
- Do not qualify for CLTS
- Prefer a private, flexible model of care
What Happens After You Contact MindRight?
- Step 1: Initial Contact You reach out through our website, email, or phone. We’ll respond within 1–2 business days to learn more about your needs and answer initial questions.
- Step 2: Information Gathering - We’ll ask a few questions about your child, goals, funding source (CLTS or Private Pay), and availability.
- Step 3: Intake & Next Steps - If you’re a good fit for our services, we’ll coordinate with your CLTS caseworker if applicable; send you an invite to our Client Portal to complete intake paperwork; Discuss service options and scheduling.
- Step 4: Service Matching - We match your family with a Lead Consultant and Behavior Skills Specialists based on: Your child’s needs; Schedule availability; Location and setting; Staff personality and strengths
- Step 5: Services Begin - Once authorizations or agreements are in place, services begin. Goals are reviewed regularly and adjusted as your family grows and changes.

- Building independence in daily tasks (hygiene, organization, communication)

At MindRight, we take time to understand: What’s already been tried, what felt helpful or unhelpful, what your family actually needs right now, and we build a new plan together — without judgment, pressure, or assumptions.
How do you measure progress without a “one-size-fits-all” model?
Progress at MindRight is measured by meaningful, real-life change — not just data points on a chart. We look at increased independence, improved communication, reduced stress for families, better participation at home, school, or community, and kkills being used outside of sessions.
We track progress through individualized goals, ongoing observation, caregiver feedback, regular check-ins and adjustments.
If a strategy isn’t working, we change it, if a goal no longer fits, we update it. Progress should feel useful, not forced.

Dr. Brown also conducts evaluations for AD/HD, anxiety, learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia), mood disorders, and other concerns for children and adults. Further, he is one of the few psychologists in this part of the state who evaluates adults for autism .
